Kia ora, I’m Laura ( she/her ) I’m currently a year 12 student at Westlake Girls high school, and am beyond excited to be serving as one of Younite’s chairs for 2025, alongside Rachel. I have been a member of this board since late 2023, and have lived in the Takapuna-Devonport area for most of my life. I’m also an absolute bookworm and love hanging out with friends & family. This year, I am extremely excited to meet the new people joining Younite, and to work in collaboration with them to empower rangatahi in our lovely community!

I'm Hamish I'm a Year 12 student at Westlake Boys High School with a strong passion for Biology and Art History, among others. My time is heavily occupied as a debater, trumpet player, chorister, volunteer, newspaper editor-in-chief, and often find myself always curious to do more. I started my journey as a School Leader and volunteer, tutor, academic council member, and coach, and look forward to furthering the change we can make this year.

Hi there! I’m Rahma, and I moved to Takapuna just over a year ago; however, I have lived in New Zealand for 10 years. My passions include swimming, cycling and creative writing. I hope to be able to serve the community and protect nature as part of the Environmental Group in Younite!

I am happy to continue working with Younite in 2026 :) I’m passionate about organising and managing events for youth, as I like creating something from scratch and seeing people enjoy and make meaningful connections with each other. I also personally love music, including singing, dancing, songwriting and producing.

Hi! I am Alice and I am so excited to be working with the Social group in Younite this year! I am involved in a range of extracurricular activities, which often involves spending much of my time collaborating with others, and I enjoy singing, dancing and listening to music. I am very passionate about engaging youth in the community through events and volunteering, and as a member of the Social group, I hope to encourage greater youth involvement in our community.

Hi, I’m Aiyana and I am super excited to be working with Younite in 2026! I love everything to do with creativity and nature, and enjoy travelling, baking, reading, and playing volleyball.
